Dude! Just clicked over from another blog. This drives me nuts too, funny to see posts about it :]
People who write grammar blogs should be very careful in their writing. I see you consistently omitting the comma between "thanks" and the person's name. See "vocative comma."
I actually made that style choice because people complained the comma made it seem the person was signing the post instead of being addressed.
