Inga saw this in Berlin and says it translates to "Flowers for 'her.'" Clearly a shop for men who are actually just buying flowers for themselves. It's cool to like flowers, dudes.
(Editor's note: I'm doing a two-step cross-country move this summer. If posting becomes sporadic, please forgive me. I'll do my best to keep up and work ahead if I'll be without internet for a few days.)
Maybe it's flowers for male cross-dressers?
ReplyDeleteYou doing the two step cross country move? What music do you play for that?
ReplyDeleteYou're
ReplyDeleteMy buddy Ryan shared this site with us after a vendor sent us an email full of oddly placed quotation marks (He might submit it actually). Comedy gold, thanks for the laughs.
ReplyDeleteWhat movers are you using for your cross country move? Have you heard anything about HireAHelper.com ?
Actually it is flowers for "you". Formal german uses capital to designate you formal in formal speech.
ReplyDeletechilvillain: I'm using Mayflower movers. If I have a great or horrible experience, I'm sure I'll at least tweet about it. One of my friends just praised HireAHelper but that was the first I heard about them.
ReplyDeleteAgreeing with Johnnyblue -- It's more likely (and indeed make more sense) that the sign means "Flowers for "you"", though given the sign composer's mastery of quotation marks, perhaps they haven't mastered the proper usage of capital vs. lower case letters either!
