"live"ish


You see, it's a recording, so it's not live anymore. Glad we cleared that up. Thanks, MPH.

  1. This is an appropriate use of quotation marks. At one time, "live" had not become widespread shorthand for "recorded live". The CD cover isn't incorrect. It's nostalgic--for a time when you couldn't write "live recording", but had to write "'live' recording". :-P

  2. Excellent clarification, Amar. I have always prefered "live" recordings to "studio" recordings, even though they are BOTH recordings...

  3. Well, especially since, sadly, both Les Paul and Mary Ford are dead. If you want to hear them live (and indeed have) you're going to have to settle for "live."
