"the genuine article"

Never having consumed a cornish pastry myself, I can only assume they are singing food, and "the genuine article" and "entirely handmade" are the hits. Thanks, Declan.

  2. No, it's PAY-stee, like the thing a stripper puts over her nipple.

WV: billya -- And she'll bill ya for it.

  3. Even more foreign to my experience! Thanks for the headsup guys. I think I'll leave the mistake, adds a layer of ridiculous.

  5. Oh, the left off the quotes on the big hit:"throughout the day" by the second billed group, Baked Fresh.

WV> hadauff. The Beer Nut wanted to bite bethany's 'hadauff' for a simple spelling gaffe.

  7. The Beer Nut's pronunciation is definitely closer than deckardcanine's. Pastie or pasty has a short A, and rhymes (more or less, depending on your dialect) with nasty, not with hasty. But deckardcanine is correct that a long A is used in the name of the stripper's accessories. See http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=1255502
