from Barcelona

Montse sent me this and translates the first sign as: push the "door" "thank you." The second says they are selling off their pajamas for "boys" and "girls." Except girls is misspelled so it's more like "dolls." She proposes you can push the window, and I suggest you find little girl clothes exclusively.

  1. Actually, she proposes, &c. 'Montse' is short for Montserrat, after the statue of Mary at the monastery of Montserrat — so being called Montserrat instead of 'Mary of Montserrat' is a bit like being 'Bethany' instead of 'Mary of Bethany' ;)

  3. I was in Barcelona last fall. "Rebajas" (sale) signs were everywhere. Unnecessary quotation marks weren't.

  6. "She proposes you can push the window, and I suggest you find little girl clothes exclusively." <-- And I suggest that those pajamas are actually intended for transsexual or intersexual children.
