quotation marks ON A CHAIR

  1. Maybe it means don't remove the chair, but the receptionist is fair game. Or the reverse of that.

  2. I'm with you Buffy. But maybe it means don't remove the receptionist FROM the chair.

  3. A little bit late, someone has already removed the receptionist. Whatever is the preceinct going to do?

A little bit more seriously, what kind of place is it that the precinct receptionist has to worry about his chair being stolen?

  4. Don't worry - it's a "precint" not a "precinct". That should allay any fears about inadequate law enforcement protection.
