I'm seeing a deep drop down an elevator shaft.
The lower sign in the same image also says STAFF ENTRY "ONLY"so perhaps if you're staff you get the hallway, but if you're not, you get the elevator shaft?
what kind of place is this where the staff 'comes in the out door'?
