It is an "International Middle School," perhaps this has something to do with the fact that spring is usually marked by holdiay celebrations & these vary from culture to culture? I cannot say off the top of my head which cultures do not have spring by March 22, but it seems like think one would be wary of in a PC enviornment. After celebrating the beginning of spring for non-western cultures in social studies like 5 times before March begins, I bet administrators are "sensitive" to others beliefs (worried about #%^$ing up haha).

I like the R's omission from the last word.

Perhaps it's not really a spring break because they expect the students to do work during it.
