Well folks, rule 6 tells us everything we need to know. It's a government thing. My husband makes signs, including directional and instructional signs like this one. One of the things stipulated for government jobs is that the signs be worded and punctuated exactly as stated in the work order--the sign makers are not to correct things that appear to be in need of correction without authorization. The beauty is that for engraved signs like this, there's a darn good chance the government was charged per character. Fabulous example of your "tax dollars" at "work"--wink wink, nudge nudge......
If this gym is anything like the one I go to, these rules are completely optional. Especially the one about reracking weights.

ReplyDeleteTriple fail, what with the excessive spacing and lack of proper frontal quotation marks.
