Maybe it's in quotes because a lot of what the Thais eat might definitely fall into the category of "food". Let's see...in the 6 months I've been in Thailand, I've eaten congealed blood, more innards than I ever care to detail, durian, frog, snake, pickled egg, pickled tea leaves, and a wide variety of bugs.
So, if it's actually Thai-like American food, then those quotes are actually entirely accurate, right?
ReplyDeleteAs in: 'Hey, you stoopid Americans, we got your "Thai Food" right here.'
Maybe the plant's covering a letter, but it looks like "A lot of Thai." Even better.
