It could be someone is trying to diet and this break room refrigerator is their undoing. They can't resist sampling other peoples items. So "please" no food!
Like "yummy" and "sorry" recently, I think you're protesting too much when you include examples which could be interpreted as representing what someone might be saying. After all, you are allowed to use quotation marks to signify speech!

Besides, food can be SO difficult to please, what with all its allergies and all; that's why I only try to please the liquids in my life.
