    "Meconis'" can be perfectly correct. I don't like it, but the rules allow it.

    That's "she," by the way, not "he." Dylan Meconis is one of my favorite webcomic authors.

    Nope, only Jesus, Moses, and the very old classics [Cervantes, Euripides] get to use s+apostrophe. If any other "exception" has made it into newer grammar books (neither the MLA Handbook nor Chicago Manual, by the way), it's only because so many people have been doing it wrong (or ignoring it) that the authors just threw their hands up.
