this is my first time on this blog and it reminds me of the other day when i asked the worker at a small country store near where i live why their sign said really "fresh" "salmon"

i read about this in readers digesr congrats (at least i think it was you :) )

I agree deckardcanine, those reversed quote marks put a strange slant on the word best.

a corporation's "slogan" has a long history of appearing in quotes.

I think the quotes are okay here. I take it as someone saying that their food is the best, not just a slogan. egh.
