not that sorry


I love how totally unsorry this one feels. like they might not even believe it is inconvenient. Thanks, Dahna.

  1. It sounded to me like the quoted words were an indentifier, as in: signed Larry Sorry of the inconvenience committee

  3. Perhaps they were just quoting someone else who, in the past at some point, stated that they were sorry for some inconvenience perpetrated on some other person/people. They thought it sounded good to say it, so they quoted the unknown person...

  4. Quotation marks are perfectly appropriate here.

    '"Sorry for the inconvenience", management' quotes the management for saying 'Sorry for the inconvenience'.

    You know, not every use of quotation marks is ironic. Use for actual quotations are still allowed!
