This one isn't so bad. The quotes marks here actually indicate a quotation: someone said it would "save a child's life" if you closed the gate.
Childs is not a word. Maybe that's why they needed the quotations marks, since they wanted to use a non-word?
I used to know someone whose last name was Childs. Maybe she's the one they're saving here.
The presence of unnecessary quotation marks AND lack of a necessary apostrophe. English teachers would really cringe seeing this one.
Amanda Childs. I knew her, she did have a habbit of trying to get out.
