just kidding

closing the gate won't REALLY save a child's life. Nikki also points out that this pool was disturbingly filled to the brim with woodchips.

  1. This one isn't so bad. The quotes marks here actually indicate a quotation: someone said it would "save a child's life" if you closed the gate.

  2. Childs is not a word. Maybe that's why they needed the quotations marks, since they wanted to use a non-word?

  3. I used to know someone whose last name was Childs. Maybe she's the one they're saving here.

  4. The presence of unnecessary quotation marks AND lack of a necessary apostrophe. English teachers would really cringe seeing this one.

  5. Amanda Childs. I knew her, she did have a habbit of trying to get out.
