don't be so "negative"


I guess there is really nothing positive about this door, which Spencer saw in the engineering department of UCSB.

    Let's just forget the quotation marks for a minute...positive just SOUNDS wrong here. I know that grammatically it makes sense, but it just looks wrong.

    Then again, it could be the quotation marks playing with my mind.

    It could be that there is some important electrical stuff behind the door. Then the quotation marks would be pointing out the pun in using the word positive.
