Dear “Blog” readers,
Nothing is changing here at the “blog” but I was just thinking tonight about how totally lucky I am that you guys read this blog, and write pithy comments, and send the link to your friends, and link from your own blogs. The stats of this website perplex and fascinate me. I don’t really get why you guys keep coming back, and why there are so many of you, but you are really quite fab.
I haven’t told the internet this, but I didn’t work a regular job this summer and lived off of the savings I had mostly from this blog. I’m a grad student, so I live pretty cheap (this isn’t making me a fortune or anything) but it’s because of you all that I had extra money at all. So thanks.
Some of you also know that I’ve been gathering photos for a book based on the blog that I’m trying to sell. I have been blown away by the response rate to my permission requests for that. I’m regularly telling people “my blog readers are SO NICE” so I thought I’d tell you too. You guys rock. Thanks for rocking and please keep doing it.

Bethany, "you" are the reason we keep coming "back!" The pictures alone are amusing, but your "commentary" is usually the "best" part.

Hey, I'm British; I need something to snark at.
I'm not a regular commenter here, but I have been a regular reader for a while. There is no telling what it is about unnecessary quotation marks or your comments on them, but this is the only site I read that regularly makes me audibly giggle. So much so that I unsubscribed from the rss so I wouldn't read it at work and have to explain my laughs.
Now I read it every morning before work.

Yours is the only blog of this nature that never gets old to me. I come here many times a week. Thanks go to you and everyone submitting these. They are all amazing.
Heck if I knew you were working on a book I'd be more inclined to use a real camera and not my cell phone. But congrats to you and thanks for all your work on the blog.
