These flags, I guess they are for fake americans. Or something. Thanks, Charlie, who also notes that this was among civil war memorabilia, which might provide some hint as to the meaning.
Yes, that was my first thought! Especially looking at the price, these flags are most likely made in China or Indonesia - by sweatshop orphans, of course, and what could be more American than THAT!?! :)
Maybe it's just a flag for the United States of America, not the whole continent.
