Yeah, I used to work as a waiter in a restaurant (it was only lunch and dinner) - the "lunch shift" actually does start at breakfast time. We had to be at work at 9am.
Or maybe it's like Karen Walker's (of Will & Grace) "lunches", as in, "Hurry up, Jack, I've only got 4 hours for lunch!"
I like how the other sign specifies that midnight is 12:00 AM also...
And not open "until," but "TILL" midnight.
Now serving lunch at midnight!
