And what's with the random capital letters -- Machine, Bills, Accept?
As an English teacher, I agree with the comments on loose vs. lose -- I can't get it through to anyone, no matter what I do. Maybe we just need to change the spellings? Or keep loose the same, and make lose into 'looz.'
They also don't have access to the tv remote (or what my grandpa called "the changer").
ReplyDeleteI would hope you've loosed your money before you try to put it into the machine. Why is the difference between "lose" and "loose" so hard for people?

I know so many people who mess up that "lose" and "loose". *sigh* These poor illiterate souls.
ReplyDeleteI agree with eilbeback.

ReplyDeletehahahaha "One" dollar bills.
ReplyDeleteThis "sign" is "nuts".
Oh god yes... I'm so not surprised that the all too common extra o in "lose" showed up in one these.. it drives me crazy too.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with "lose" and "loose" is probably that the latter looks like the former is pronounced and they are both valid to spellcheckers.
ReplyDeleteLike many people who can't do basic arithmetic without a calculator, some people cannot use a computer without a spell checker.
Obviously, it accepts slugs and counterfeit dollars, along with, or instead of, real money.
