sure it's "lost"

No matter what you did with your ticket, you'll still have to pay. We're onto you. Thanks, John.

  1. Just discovered your blog. This is great! Ironic and visually interesting.

I've always thought that unnecessary quotation marks are funny (not my pet peeve).

  2. I love this one! I actually think they may have put those there on purpose - I can only imagine the excuses one must hear as a parking attendant!

  3. That looks like San Francisco airport, and I bet they do hear a lot of stories.

  4. I have to agree with Kristi - in this case, the quotation marks could be deliberately ironic.

  5. Mike, you're right, it is SFO. I can't imagine the stories they hear!

  6. As others have already pointed out, the issue that the attendants must deal with is someone saying, "I have a lost ticket!!!" They do not search the car to see if the ticket is really lost. Nevertheless, if you say you have a "lost ticket" you will be charged at least one day.

Which actually sounds like a good deal if you've been parked for a week....
