That's pretty clever of the home owner. Acknowledging the impossibility of posting provisions detailing the appropriate treatment for each variety of creature that could conceivable accompany the reader of the sign, its creator wisely labeled them all "'dogs'". So where one neighbor's house is obscured from view by a sign denying entrance to all creatures, from the mighty Aardvark to the mighty zygote, and the other neighbor's petunias are ravaged by ocelots, the owner of this sign, if such a thing can truly be owned, is safe from intrusion by any manner of "dogs".
I might have caught the repeat myself if I had found this site a few months earlier. My picture only shows like 5% of the "800 flags". They were there for Domestic Violence Awareness Month last October, so the lack of them in Mary's picture isn't telling. Like her, I found this on my town's courthouse lawn, so it could be the same location, an unsettling government standard-issue sign, or just a coincidence. Worse than the sign are 2 local business names. Across the street from the courthouse is "Blazzin' Taps", which I always prounounce with a short 'a' sound due to the incorrect double 'z'. The worst offender is named either "Every Ladies Gym" or "Every Ladies' Gym", but apostrophe or no, my wife cringes whenever we pass it.
