At first I thought this was a contemporary fake, but as far as I can tell this is a real mid-60s toy. He's Ken's "Buddy". Right. Thanks, Mindy.

a lot of old-timey products and advertisements had unnecessary quotation marks. i think their proper use has shifted a bit.

So, no quotation marks at all...

Allan is a slut. He is the subservient type of man Ken likes. He begins to remove his shirt as he hears Ken approaching. Allan wears a beautiful Butch silver cufflink bracelet. Ken gave it to him as a token of his ownership over Allan. Hot.
It's definitely a real toy - I had one that was my mom's from the early 60s. I used to like to pretend that he would ask Barbie out and she would reject him.
I don't believe those are qutation marks. It looks like trademark symbols to me.
