I love this one... especially since my husband grew up in George, Washington. Yes, that is an actual place - consisting of a truck stop, post office, several farms and Martha's Inn.
Fantastic! That was one of my favourite tricks, back when the loonie was worth .60 - get a roll of quarters in Canada and use them in the washing machines in my US college dorm. They didn't jam, and I made FOUR BUCKS over the semester!!!
Not only are Canadian quarters actually Canadian, not 'Canadian', but Canadian circulation coins are actually made in Winnipeg. I took a tour of the Mint.
This is really funny. Especially since we don't know who George is, because it's not the one on the quarter ("Washington" is spelled wrong).
ReplyDeletelol, that is funny!
ReplyDeleteAnna :)
"Eh?"

ReplyDeleteEven actual "Canadians" look and feel like the US version, so you have to examine them very closely. And listen to their Os.
ReplyDeleteToo funny, April.

I love "Let George do it." Classic.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea there were "persons" who washed ascots. And I have such a backlog of dirty ascots.
