Jon Stewart stealing my material

If you're one of the rapidly decreasing number of people who has not yet watched this or informed me of it, check out the quotation marks jokes around 4:20.

  1. Thank you *so much* for posting that. I love TDS and when I heard Jon's jokes on the show I was like, "OMG! THE BLOG!" XD So yeah, YAY!

  2. That is great! I definitely wouldn't be drinking that "water". I love the clip with Suze Orman too.

  5. As a regular TDS watcher and reader of this blog, I immediately said "oh, this sounds so familiar". Also ironic, given the nature of the first minute of the opening, that the quote bit appears at 4:20 into the clip. Coincidence?

  6. It won't let me watch. Why must I go to Comedy Central and then try to find this video? Why can't I just click the 'play' button?

It sounds really funny and I hope to see it?

Crazybunnylady has a good point. =]

  8. And just for the record so we all know, I was the first to point this out to you.

    Jon and I are tight.

  11. The air quotes make it, I think.

  12. I was actually cruising to see if this had been covered here. Good "stuff."

  13. That is classic! I think Jon Stewart's been reading your website!

  14. I also thought I had the scoop on this, rushed right over to report it to you. Foiled again.

If people have trouble with the official site, Hulu.com also carries full episodes of TDS.

They also have Ghostbusters, so there you go.

  18. LOL!
I'm so behind on Daily Shows. DAMN YOU DVR!

But I JUST caught this and came running over here, only to find that you've got it covered.

    Nicely done.

    Nicely done.

  19. Wow, I didn't watch this episode until today (I love my DVR), and I immediately came here when I heard this bit (since I was online anyway-- I'm not quite that pathetic). And here I thought I was telling you something you might not already know.

    So much for that!

P.S. After writing this out, I just quickly read through all the comments before submitting mine, and I say f*** it, I'm just going through with it even though everyone else said the same thing already.

  20. Well, to be fair, jokes like that predate this blog; my mom and I have been saying the same kinds of things since I was a kid, and she doesn't even have internet access.

My crush on Jon Stewart continues...

  21. badfae: of course I know that, he didn't ACTUALLY steal my material... I was trying to be funny...

  22. And of course he makes a pot joke in the beginning of the video. Excellent for more than one reason!

  23. This reminds me of that episode of Friends where Joey doesn't know how to use air quotes properly so he randomly sticks them around random words. Do you have it on your site already? :)
