Jon found this one on his door. It makes more sense if you know that bottles and cans in michigan have a $.10 deposit. He also writes, "Based on this note, I’m guessing a group of trekkies are heading to a comic book convention and need my bottles and cans to fund the trip. I didn’t wait to see if they showed up in uniform."

Here's a "quick tip":
"Mackinac" is actually pronounced "Mackinaw."
Just in case you feel like heading up there for some "fudge."
I wonder if the "boy scouts" are coming, too?
How is "Mackinac Island" parenthetical to "This is sponsoring their trip to"? Apparently, this is sponsoring their trip to "Thank You!" in advance for your support; whatever that means.
I'm guessing you'll get eaten by a land shark when you open the door for these "Girl Scouts"...
@thesledgehammer
Like, a Jimmy Buffett fan land shark? Because we Parrotheads don't really bite.
No, I'm thinking more of a Land shark of the Saturday Night Live variety...
"Candygram."
I like to think that this is code for some mob operation.
I like how the second "girl scouts" is in quotations, but not the first. Makes me wonder who's really picking up the bottles....
boy scouts, scammers, aliens?!
I love it, too, that this flyer uses my other favorite form of punctuation -- the exclamation point!!!!! -- in excess. Stop yelling at me!!!!!
The "girl scouts" once made me an "offer" I couldn't refuse...
