I thought it was generally understood that all hot dogs include things besides beef. Which is why it's said that legislation-making, like sausage-making, creates a product that is much better enjoyed if you don't witness how it's made.

As a proud alumna of BU, I can vouch for the fact that the folks who own The Trolley are not native English speakers.
