"freshly baked"

Jerry saw this in Colchester, UK.  If you click to enlarge, you'll have an easier time reading the part about your choice of "freshly baked" bread. I must say, when I worked at subway we never served bread that was more than 24 hours old, but maybe they have higher standards for freshness in the UK...

  1. Well, to be fair, it's pre-made frozen bread that they throw in the oven on-site.

I agree, though--those are unnecessary quotes, for sure.

  2. So finally, Subway admits to something (by the use of QTs). I'm so sick of those "eat fresh" commercials. No doubt some of their food has less fat (ask Jared), but fresh? Give me a break. I'm sure those vegetables came fresh from the garden, and that ham and bacon is from a hog that was slaughtered this morning. Truth is, their processed, prepackaged stuff is no fresher than the frozen, thawed, and cooked stuff at McDonald's.

  3. well, be nice anon. There are way more vegetables on those subs than on a burger. And I've sliced them myself in the mornings working there. What does it take to consider a vegetable fresh??
