Alisa works for the American Shakespeare Company Touring Troupe (cool job, right?) and saw this sign at one of their recent venues. She assures me that they were performing actual Shakespeare ("not... like... Fakespeare"). Maybe they wanted to clarify that you wouldn't find the man himself if you follow the arrow.
Maybe it's a commentary on how some scholars think Shakespeare didn't actually write his plays.
ReplyDelete...nah, just UQMs.
The sign assured me there'd be Shakespeare so BRING HIM OUT!!
ReplyDeleteOh, man. "Fakespeare." I love it.
ReplyDeletethat sign is intense. usually you see sophisticated colors and scrolly borders associated with shakespeare. but then again, it's "shakespeare."
ReplyDeleteI said the same thing about scholarly interpretation of Shakespeare plays. Too funny!
