or a slogan

Jarin saw this in an office building deli. It's clearly a reference to that cliche about utopia where everyone gets along and chili will be served everyday.

  1. At least they don't believe in the existence of a certain "chili season" like many restaurants do.

  2. Ah, and "everyday" as an adverb. A daily double.

  4. ...heck, it's even future passive voice. :-) (Though, I have to admit, passive voice is used a lot in my own writing.)

  5. i don't suppose there's enough widespread interest in the misuse of "everyday"/"every day" and "login"/"log in" and the like for there to be a fruitful blog devoted to it... but i would totally write one if there were.

  6. I think it's more of a "Chili is not served "everyday" at present, but it will be at a future time."
