Actually, I truly hope that "airport rage" is not an acceptable quotation-free term. But it's also funny because 1: federal law dictates your emotions? 2: They must be predicting rage to post a sign. Thanks, Ariel.
What they're doing is leaving it wide open to interpretation by the power-hungry, minimum-wage-earning TSA screeners. "What, you're irritated at being told to take your shoes off after spending 2 hours on line? Sir, that's 'airport rage', I'll have you arrested!"
The whole X rage thing, where X is some experience or location is bollocks. It's just an excuse for poorly behaved people to claim some sort of cause for their shenanigans. Fie on them, I say!
Actually, I think they're demanding the sincerity of your emotions. Maybe you can have actual rage, as long as you mean it. Just nothing half-hearted or ironic...
This reminds me of one of my favorite George Carlin lines. "Road rage, air rage. Why should I be forced to divide my rage into separate categories? To me, it's just one big, all-around, everyday rage. I don't have time for fine distinctions. I'm busy screaming at people."

It's not airport rage!! It's 'roid rage!! And also my wife is leaving me!! So, by law, you have to release me so I can board the damn plane!!
LOL, both of you! I think "airport rage" is actually when the Hare Krishnas hand out flowers at the curbside pick-up.
