This reminds me of the part on my Kroger receipts when it tells me how much I saved. Like I would have bought half that stuff if it wasn't on sale. Clearly, the best way to "save" money is by shopping. Thanks Christopher.
Hi, I just found this blag an, lazily, without even looking at how much archives I'd have to look through to see, I have to ask, have you noticed the movie title "Rebel without a cause" is spelled with quotes? At least on the DVD cover and in the movie itself.
It's been bugging me for years and this seems like the perfect forum to discuss it.
You just reminded me of how in Singapore, there is actually a chain of supermarkets called Shop'n'Save. And their ad jingle goes "Shop and save, the more you shop the more you save"
Shop 'n' Save existed in New England, where I grew up, as well. They were all converted to Hannaford's around the time I left. I had friends who worked there who lovingly referred to it as "Slop 'n' Slave".
So of course I find this blog and my very first time looking through it, I see the amazingly funny clock that has been over the dry cleaner's across the street from my old apartment. I'd walk by this every day and have myself a good chuckle. It's kismet, love this site!

now, whenever it's 12:33:35, I'm gonna think "Time to 'save.'"
Dammit.

I think I saw this type of clock in fron of a savings and loan once.
Do they think they're clever or something?
oh sitboaf, you made me laugh and laugh. how stupid is it to make the "tails" of the hands nearly as long as the hands. why do hands need tails?
lose the tails, i say. it would save me time from trying to figure out what time it is.
..ride a.....bike?

Oh man, the picture and title immediately made me think of Hiro Nakamura.
