What's bothering me most isn't the surreal punctuation, it's that the stars aren't lined up properly - are they spelling out something? Is it like a Rorschach test?
i personally love how they're going for that dramatic flag-blowing-in-the-wind image that everyone's vaguely familiar with (but is harder to draw convincingly from memory than you'd think), and it turned out like a child's drawing of a magic carpet.
plus, who posts their flagpole at a 30 degree angle?
Thank you, thejay. The number of stars is what bothered me most too. Maybe the extras are there to represent all the states of Mexico which currently reside THIS side of the border. Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas, (with a few million people from the other 26). I guess that's not 62, but the remaining stars probably represent other nations around the world. We are, after all, "one" nation under "God".

wow, if you're gonna paint it on a wall, why mince words? i say, balls out.
really, all the punctuaion is a bit off. it looks like-
"GOD" (psh. whatever THAT means)
BLESSSS............................
....wait for it....................
..........AMERICAAAAAAAA!!!!!
I like the ellipses best.
"Whatever the hell deity you are bless... I dunno... uhhh... America. Whatever."

The stars are the true name of "GOD".
BWAHHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH!!
This seriously made me chuckle at the end of a long day. Thanks.
There is deeper meaning here! The light is strategically placed to symbolize God's blessing upon America.
Well, or "blessing" upon America, I guess. Take your pick.

I think he might be related to "Jesus".
Given that there are 62 stars in the field of blue, I'd say God already has blessed America, at least territorially.
Terran--It looks like the stars say 'WE'. But I'm not sure. It could be'W '08', too...

"God" bless Jeff.
Jeff, I have to admit, as much as I love this blog (in and of itself), I read the comments just to see what the heck you've said.
I'm never disappointed. ;)
I think whoever was forced to paint that on the building didn't believe in God and wanted to leave a snarky comment... :)
Way more than 50 stars on that flag. This "God" is clearly another pseudodeity in a parallel universe.
