Julie visited this knick knack shop in Coronado, CA. They appear to be trying to make unnecessary quotation marks their house style. Along with high prices for used stuff... She notes they also had several "vintage" items. "vintage" in this case code for "kind of old and beat up"
well, they are all found knick-knacks. No one can be sure about the facts surrounding them, right?
ReplyDeleteLooks like the only correct QMs are the ones representing "inches" on the "king size" bedspread price tag.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many little monkeys can jump on a "king size" bed.
ReplyDeleteDoes that say "loose tea *jare*", or am I just subconsciously trying to see misspellings?
ReplyDeleteI though it was "Loose tea Jane"...and I want to know why a set of used spoons and a used comforter cost as much as my rent.
ReplyDelete$16.50 is a tad steep even for "Premium" Voose TEA JaNe.
ReplyDeleteFWIW, I think it says "loose tea jars."
ReplyDeleteQuotations notwithstanding, i would like to use this forum to applaud the excellent application of strikethroughs on all those sale prices.
Wish I live where you live, Andi!
ReplyDeletei would guess it says jars too, except that it would mean they wrote the S backwards?? and there's an extra diagonal line connecting the R to the S? nope, i think the signmaker lost it mid-word after having to hand write that many unnecessary QMs.
