I like 1) that it's in Portuguese and 2) the asterisk.

Isn't that a Visa logo next to the sign that reads "We don't take credit cards"?
I'd love to know what part of Brasil this is in. This is a typical customer service practice -- not that they wouldn't take credit cards, but that there's #1: a visa logo next to the sign, and #2: a credit card machine next to the phone. Heh.
Uhhh... Did you guys just not SEE the sticker that says "VISA ELECTRON" ?
Does that orbit a VISA PROTON!??!1?
Visa Electron is a brand of Visa debit cards, there's nothing odd about that at all.
yeah, now I get it that the "visa" logo is referring to a debit card--but I'm not sure that's super-common usage in the US, so I was taken aback by it as well.
and did I just commit a quotation marks faux pas by typing "visa"?! EEK!
I was recently in Thailand and saw an advertisement on the side of the road. I tried to take a picture of it, but was moving too fast. It had the Thai language, then in quotations, "Lovely home party." Sorry I couldn't get a pix.
