Yeah, whenever I see inappropriate quotation marks it gives me a "wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more" type of feeling. What's really up with that trash? What is the "junk" they're talking about?
I was at a pizza place today and as I looked up on their menu board it said "Toppings." Like they were alleged toppings. Like they might be posing as innocuous mushrooms, sausage, and the like, but what sinister truth really lies beneath the surface?
Sorry, been watching too many psycho killers on CSI/SUV/NCIS lately.
I am so proud that we have trash companies interested in only picking up garbage associated with just causes like truth and feeding the poor--and that avoid hypocrisy, cruelty, and other unjust garbage. :)
Well, technically the term "trash" only applies to things like papers, empty cans and boxes. Food waste and other "wet" refuse is referred to as "garbage", "rubbish" includes both trash and garbage, and "refuse" includes trash, garbage and construction waste. So if they actually take refuse and not just trash, which is what I would expect,it might be appropriate to say "Just" Trash. That's probably not what they were thinking though, and even if it was, I'm not going to be one of "those" people.

maybe the trash is just - as in, it protects and upholds justice. i'm tired of dealing with my trash, which is totally unjust.
..and then apparantly they drop an a bomb on the junk.
that may be a solution for refuse, but i think it creates a whole new set of issues (and i'm a poet!)
