Emily and her mom saw this one at the dentist office. I don't know what is classic about this thing, which appears to be a paper towel dispenser. The whiteness of it? Now I'm starting to sound like Melville.

There is nothing classic about it. It's merely "classic". Can't you tell the difference?
Jeff is right, this is one of those rare moments that the quotes were used correctly. Maybe they could have said classic-ish instead, but that would have made it on the hyphen blog.
