    I've always wondered why people choose to use quotation marks when they do.

    Someone could also do a blog on unnecessary colons - especially in academic papers.

  3. I think they want to differentiate between a "party" like a gathering and a "party" like a group. It's not a wedding bash or anything, just the group with the wedding.
