I was willing to dismiss "gym shoes" because some people call the same items tennis shoes or sneakers. However, the "Game Rules" makes them seem less important to obey. Not to mention their concern for your "safety"... thanks to James.
I'm in the sign business and we are constantly fighting the customer over unnecessary punctuation. I guess everyone thinks it's cute. Your site is hilarious though, keep up the good work.
Classic. I'm sure I could go back through my own writing over the years and find some terribly misused quotation marks, though, so I'm not going to laugh too hard for fear of a kick in the ass from karma.
I am "constantly" using "unnecessary" quotation marks. Maybe it makes "words" more "important". Or maybe "people" will think I have a "hidden meaning".....
"Play safe" that is funny, makes you think its up to your interpretation of the word 'safe' on how you conduct yourself in 'gym' class. Ha ha. This is great, I loved reading it.
"Play hard, Play Fair, Play Safe" with emphasis on " Play Safe". These 3 statements are the guidelines for a program called 'Project Adventure' in Physical Education classes these days.
My favorite over punctuation is exclamation points !!! Love your blog!

I LOVE unnecessary quotation marks! This "Blog of Note" was a lot of fun to read. I think I will include a link on my own blog page!
Just found you. What a "Great" idea for a blog! We love unnecessary quotation marks.
I just found your blog via the "Blogs of note" section. Being a writer myself, I'm finding it quite hilarious! Keep up the "awesome" work. :-D
