a future "champion"

Ashley saw this. Maybe by "champion" they mean "person who wears champion brand clothing".

  2. I also saw your blog as one of the noted anointed ones. I like it. Our blogs share some broad similarities. The greatest number of hits I ever got came from a post I wrote on the serial comma. Vanity Fair and New Yorker blogs jumped on it.

  4. I LOVE this "blog"! I am a huge fan of unnecessary punctuation of all types and was so excited to see your blog featured. I laughed so hard I cried. Thank you, I needed that.

  11. Funny blog - witty indeed.

Who would have thought that an entire blog could be made about unnecessary quotations "marks". (intended)

  12. Saw you on Blogs of Note and find you utterly "hilarious."

I'm an English Teacher turned "Stay at home Mom." My husband says I now obsess even more over bad grammar than ever before.

    Keep it up!

  13. "Champions" in the making? This reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where everyone is gathered in someone's apartment to watch the NYC marathon, and a woman yells out of the window, "You're all winners!"

  14. "'Champions'" is self-deprecating here, or modest: couldn't have done it without my teammates--and God.

More mistrust in authenticity, whatever that is.

But, as someone else here says, it's probably the brand name.
