Oh, m'gosh! What a great site. I'm glad people have the foritude to photograph these. I'm usually just disgusted. Must get a sense of humor about I guess. As the author of a zero-tolerance book on editing (I'm hoping it will help writers avoid errors that will make agents, editors and contest judges toss their manuscripts before they ever read the first sentence!), it will be hard for me. When did this trend of quotation marks start? I think English teachers around the world are pissed when they see this. I think it started somwhere around the time people started using the in air finger quotes while saying something humorous
Hey, that's my picture! Worst than the bad punctuation was spending $300 and then finding out the next day the problem was really in the city's pipes and they'd clean them out for free. D'oh!
