don't really clean anything

Glen sends this from his friend John. Again with the slogan thing, but there's also an apostrophe error here. Probably not a recommend of any real plumber.

  1. Oh, m'gosh! What a great site. I'm glad people have the foritude to photograph these. I'm usually just disgusted. Must get a sense of humor about I guess. As the author of a zero-tolerance book on editing (I'm hoping it will help writers avoid errors that will make agents, editors and contest judges toss their manuscripts before they ever read the first sentence!), it will be hard for me. That's 'cause the results are not so funny.

  2. When did this trend of quotation marks start? I think English teachers around the world are pissed when they see this. I think it started somwhere around the time people started using the in air finger quotes while saying something humorous

  3. Just discovered this blog... it's quite humorous, to say the least.

  4. Hey, that's my picture! Worst than the bad punctuation was spending $300 and then finding out the next day the problem was really in the city's pipes and they'd clean them out for free. D'oh!

  7. Use of quotation marks here acceptable. Apostrophe abuse unacceptable on this or on any other planet.
