A very interesting blog this is. Quite different from others I've seen. Nice work !!

Perhaps this is a commentary about the connotations of those words. It's more P.C. to say "companion animals" and "guardians." For example, check out In Defense of Animals' Guardian Campaign:

I'm so glad I found your blog! I'm in the middle of reading "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves" and loving it. Thanks for sharing your observations!

Perhaps attendees of this Open Day won't know the difference between the species without "'s!

I Just found you. Omygod, you can't imagine how many times I've made snarky little remarks and witty observations, how many fits I've thrown over quotation marks! I'm so happy someone is finally putting all the bad punctuation to good purpose. I'm bookmarking this blog. Thanks.

As heebnvegan and Tim may have said, it's about the whole Gaia hypothesis, we're all parts of this whole called earth, or the universe if you will -- ideally no one "wears the trousers", rather we live as parts of a whole -- all of us necessary to complete the others.
